We get to talk about the stuff that I’m always thinking about which is, what is going on, how we got here, and whats coming next? In a relatively short interview, they pack in some heavyweight information and issues within their book, in our rapidly changing technology-driven world. Together, they have authored numerous books, including Dollarocracy, and The Death and Life of American Journalism. They co-founded Free Press, a national media reform organization, with Josh Silver.
McChesney is a Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His many books discussing political-economy, media and communication include Digital Disconnect and Blowing the Roof Off the Twenty-First Century.
Nichols is a journalist and Washington correspondent for The Nation and associate editor of The Capital Times. In addition to countless articles published in newspapers and magazines, his books include The “S” Word: a Short History of American Tradition… Socialism, and The Genius of Impeachment.
