Treat Her Well

Never let those Vans dull.
Bromance exists in a half second hug.
Avoid the Hollister kids
in their shiny rides earned
solely from parents’ paychecks.

Try to finish high school.
Strive for above nine twenty-five.
You’ll need it for the girl
you probably knock up
a few months before she turns seventeen.

Treat her well.

Bruise the face of any man
who aims his gaze too low
to meet her eyes.
Aspire to have those perfectly
sagged slim fit jeans,

the girls will love you for it.
