Poppet is the music of recording artist, Molly Raney. Performing live and solo at Portland’s Alhambra Theater on June 21st, 2014, Poppet offers two songs not yet appearing on any records out now or forthcoming. The songs, “Forged in Data” and “Humans: Flawed!” express the existential crisis of being-data with the underpinning problem of resisting inherent human flaws for the sake of 21st Century life. Sensitive but reposed within the problem, Molly serves the listener with a moment to reflect.
This recording was captured at once with Pregnant, Live 06/21/14. Molly Raney is a supporting musician of that project. Ambit Mag. also released their entire set as a complete EP for stream and partial download.
